It’s hard to believe another year has gone so quickly!
In the last week of September, the judging for the 2016 Adelaide Wine Show took place. I always look forward to seeing which wines have picked up the medals in their respective classes, and choosing another medal winning mixed dozen from a variety of areas. Many of the other capital city wine shows have already been judged, so it is quite likely that some of the wines we include may also have awards from one or more of these other competitions.
There are often some supply issues following the announcement of the results, but as a buyer of our previous Wine Show Dozens this special pre-order form enables you to get in early and receive your mixed dozen guaranteed at the 2015 price. These prices will remain valid until the next newsletter in November and as usual, you have the option of ordering:
Mixed Dozen: one bottle of each for $220
All Reds: two bottles of each for $235
or All Whites: two bottles of each for $205
Each dozen will be carefully packed and delivered to your door along with tasting notes, food matching suggestions and any other cellaring recommendations. Once all the wines are selected and confirmed, it will take a couple of weeks to get them organised, so we will not be charging your credit card or banking your cheques until we are about to dispatch the wines early in November.
Alternatively, you can collect them from our associated stores at Underdale or O’Sullivan Beach if you prefer… just let us know on the order form and I will call you when they are ready to pick up.
If you need some good wines in the meantime, there are still a few cases remaining of the Top 100 Dozens highlighted in the July newsletter… Mixed, All Red and All Whites all at $220 per dozen.
There are also some packed cases of the Premium Mixed Dozens at $199 per dozen which contain a selection of wines from previous wine show selections and a few of the excellent ‘Prestige’ Mixed 6 packs containing some Gold medal winners available at $99.
We also have the last stocks of the Ius Limestone Coast wines, which are excellent value at $118 per dozen and there are some other superb wines remaining from our recent in store promotions and previous wine club offers to be found in the latest batch of Rats and Mice.
The cost of these are: Mixed $140, All Reds $150 and All Whites $130 dozen.
We will also be putting together another Melbourne Cup 6 pack at $99 which contains three table wines and three excellent sparkling wines to see you through the spring carnival and into the Christmas season! The wines included are a bottle each of :
