2017 Pick of the Adelaide Wine Show Dozen
Dear Wine Lover,
We have now finalized the selections for the latest ‘Pick of the Adelaide Wine Show Dozen’ and have another great mix to offer you.
We are spoilt for choice with so many good wines, but it is never an easy feat to be awarded medals at the Adelaide Wine Show and many high quality wines miss out altogether. Other wines may be exclusive to a iquor chain or cellar door only, and this precludes us from consideration when choosing wines for the mixed dozen.
However, we always aim to pick the very best value medal winning wines available, and this year’s selection is no different. There are two excellent Rieslings from different vintages, a trophy winning Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc and Western Australian SSB whilst the red wines include an excellent Cabernet from Ingoldby Wines, three very different styles of Shiraz, a lovely fruit driven Clare Valley Merlot and a superb medium bodied Sangiovese from the McLaren Vale region.

Amphora Wines are based in the historic Stonyfell Winery, which is one of only two wineries remaining in the Adelaide metropolitan area. They produce some great value wines for both the domestic and international markets and we now have in stock their 2016 One Tree Plain Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz at $118 per dozen if you are looking for a case or two of everyday quaffing wines.
